Knife Crime Awareness Week |
||
|
Knife Crime Awareness Week is an important opportunity to come together as a community and highlight the dangers and consequences of carrying knives, while promoting safer choices and support for those at risk.
Carrying a knife can have life-changing consequences—not only for victims, but also for those who choose to carry or use one. By raising awareness, we can encourage open conversations, educate young people, and help prevent violence before it happens. As part of ongoing efforts to keep our communities safe, safe disposal options are available locally.
Knife bins are located at:
Central Area Car Park (accessed from Chapel Street), Tadcaster
These bins provide a safe and anonymous way to dispose of knives and help reduce the number of weapons on our streets. Everyone has a role to play in tackling knife crime. By working together, supporting one another, and making positive choices, we can help create safer communities for all.
